Tonight we flip over to a new decade, a new year and a new month!
I recently saw a quote by Brad Paisley that said, “Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365 page book. Write a good one.”
What do you have planned as an outline for your story for the next year? Do you have any exciting chapters? Do you have some chapters that are going to be tedious to not only write, but to read? Is your book going to be full of suspense or do you have it well defined?
We know that God ultimately determines our steps but we should make plans and not fly by the seat of our pants!(Proverbs 16:9). The Bible also says, “Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” (Proverbs 16:3)
What Do You Want to Achieve this Year?
Do you want to make physical changes? Per haps you’d like to lose some weight or get stronger. Or maybe you’d like to just be healthier this year!
Do you need to make career changes? Is your current job slowly killing you? Or would you like to move up the ladder? Maybe you’d just like to continue on as you are!
Perhaps you’d like to get out of debt or grow your 401k! Maybe you’re making plans on how to cut back on your expenses.
Have you felt far away from God? Maybe your plans include growing closer to Him or you want to return to church!
But the First Step is to Make a Plan–
Write your goals down.
Make a vision board.
Put them in a prominent place where you’ll see them every day.
Pray over your goals and plans.
Then Place Them in God’s Hands-
Like Proverbs 16:9, we can make all the plans we want but ultimately God directs our steps.
So why not invite Him in and give Him the authority over your life.
He will bless your plans even more when you give them over to Him!
What is the title of your book for the year?
I would love to know!
Feel free to leave me a comment!
Until next year!!!
